Alligators, snakes, lizards, and even a two-headed turtle. What more could a curious toddler desire?
Last week, Luke and I visited The Reptile Zoo, a “living museum” of local reptiles, amphibians, and arachnids. Luke enjoyed running around to the different exhibits and peering at the animals inside while I followed closely behind, taking pictures and making sure he didn’t release any tarantulas into the wild.
My favorite was Barnabas, the American alligator. Luke’s favorite? The goldfish sharing the tank with the two-headed turtle, cleverly named Pete and Repete.
